Daniel Lin undyingly believes in the power of the image as a storytelling medium.
He is currently a staff photographer for the Daily News-Record in Harrisonburg, Va.
Prior to returning to Virginia, he was the staff photographer for the Enterprise-Journal in McComb, Miss. Before that, he was a freelance photojournalist for The Roanoke Times in Roanoke, Va, based out of the New River Valley Bureau in Christiansburg, Va. and was a photo intern from March to December 2012.
He has previously worked as both a photographer and the photo editor for the Collegiate Times, the independent student newspaper at Virginia Tech, and interned in summer of 2011 at the Progress-Index, a daily newspaper serving the Petersburg, Va. area.
He has freelanced for the Associated Press, Roanoker Magazine, The Charlottesville Daily Progress, The Richmond Times-Dispatch, The Temple Daily Telegram and The Roanoke Times prior to joining as an intern.
He has a Bachelor of Arts in History from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), and graduated in December 2012.
